Safety in the digital arena…
With the average child between the ages of 8 and 12 being on an internet connected device for an average of 4-6 hours per day, the need for a truly safe browsing experience has never been more prevalent. Working on the Charli project, we focused our efforts on creating a friendly brand that parents can trust and children can easily connect with. Although cyber security is out of our wheel house, we created a through brand identity and device mockup for Charli and its child focused cyber safety platform.

The Brand
The branding strategy for Charli was carefully designed to appeal to the platform's target market - parents and their children. The name 'Charli' is approachable and highly kid-friendly, while the tagline 'Keeping Your Loved Ones Safe Online' emphasizes the platform's focus on online safety. The main figure of the brand is a panda, which creates a relatable character for children and serves as a point of connection between them and the device they use. The clean, bold font and carefully selected color scheme give the brand a clean and kid-friendly look. Overall, the branding strategy for Charli aims to create a safe and engaging environment for children to explore the online world with the guidance and protection of their parents.
Creating Digital Mockups
As part of our efforts to develop the identity of the Charli platform, we created a set of digital mockups to showcase one of its most important features, Restricted Access Mode. This mode, which enables parents to select certain apps to be disabled while Charli remains active, was clearly depicted in the mockups. The renders were created primarily for the Apple iPad, which is the primary device used by the platform's target audience. Multiple mockups were produced, including those showing the platform in use, by itself, and in a family setting, to demonstrate the platform's features and branding. The mockups successfully illustrate the capabilities of Charli and its focus on providing a safe and secure online experience for children, while also providing parents with the tools they need to monitor and control their children's device usage.

Charli is a unique product with several main features that set it apart from its competitors. In order to identify the target audience for Charli, we analyzed multiple sources of data, including consumer demographics, buying behaviors, and trends in the market. This data allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the needs and preferences of potential customers. With this information, we were able to develop Charli's brand identity, ensuring that it appeals to the target audience we had identified. Our research played a crucial role in ensuring that Charli is positioned in the market in the most effective way possible, and we are confident that it will be a success among its intended audience.
